Shane's Condom only video hit the shelves even as the debate over rubbers rages on line. Not twenty four after my review of the video hit the newsgroups, the bashing started. I have stated before that I tend not to notice condoms in porn, so have not gone out of my way to mention them one way or another.
Apparently my announcement that would continue to not make a big deal about whether rubbers are used or not has upset at least one well known RAME poster. According to him, I am intentionally hiding something from my readers and may even be part of the AVN-led conspiarcy to wipe out condom free porn from the face of the earth.
Funny, I thought the X-Files movie was a work of fiction.
For those of you who still don't understand my take on condoms in porn, let me make it very clear. I believe the decision to use condoms or not should be left to the individual film makers. It's their show, so let them call the shots. So long as distributors are not forcing people to use them or threatening to not distribute "unsafe" tapes, then nothing more needs to be said about it.
Look, common sense tells you that condoms can't prevent HIV. However, if someone wants to use them to decrease their risk of exposure, or just to feel safer, who am I, or who are we, to tell them otherwise. I've just never felt the need to put my own sexual needs ahead of the saftey of others, but hey, I'm funny like that.
I have some sad news of the non HIV variety to report this month as well.
Director/Cinematographer extrodinare Francious Clousot will soon be calling it quits in the jizz biz. Some of his best known (and best period) work was for Private, but he quickly made the transition to directing and shooting stateside. After a busy year behind the lens shooting for Metro, the well liked director will be turning to legitimate films for his creative outlet.
While this is great news for Francious and good news for film goers who will get to see his work on a whole new level, the porn community is loosing one of the finest directors of the last few years. I wish him all the best, and while I'm at it, Francious, I am available for P.A. work any time you're ready, and of course, like everyone else in SoCal, I have this script idea.....
And while I'm in a shameless plug mode, did I mention that "New Pink" is on store shelves now? This title from Xplor has a number of cute first timers, including Paulina and Anna. The latter of the two stars in my very own directorial debut. (Fear not, I did not bare it all for the camera.)

Jay Ashley perhaps? Nah, not even Patrick would go that far.
Speaking of bold predictions, Rob Black has said that he has big plans for newly inked Extreme Associates contract girl Victoria Paris. He says that he is going to do for her what he did for Stephanie Swift. What would that be? Put her in award winning films? Help her earn a Performer of the Year award? Or line up a dozen guys to spit in her face? Hell, I would settle for just seeing Victoria pick up where she left off in "Two Women."
Evil Angel, which already is home to Buttman, John Leslie, Rocco Siffredi, Joey Silvera, Randy West and Greg Dark, has added another big name to their roster, Max Hardcore. No, Max is not leaving the Legend team, however Evil Angel has agreed to handle the foreign sales of Hardcore's material. European Max, wow. I guess the speculum just makes it easy to slide a whole fist into some porn woman's, what does he call it? Oh yeah, cock socket. Lovely thought.
In non porn related sex news, Monica Lewinski was back in front of cameras this week. She's still sporting a few extra pounds, but I can't be the only one who is strangely attracted to the President's alleged first fellatrix. There has to be something there for him to be willing to risk it all, right? On the other hand, looking at Hillary and Paula Jones, we can't exactly say that Slick Willie is all that discriminating when it comes to places to park the Presidential pork pole.
Maybe if she won't take up the Penthouse offer to pose in the buff, perhaps Seymore Butts or Rodney Moore can put her in an all oral orgy. Think Bill and Hill would watch that one on the ole VCR?
Speaking of sexy celebrities, how will the world go on now that Ginger has left the Spice Girls?
The vampish redhead left the group this week amid rumors that the mega-pop group may be on the verge of a total meltdown. While I am sure many of us would love to see her go back to her nude modeling career, I rather doubt that is a likely avenue for Ginger. Still, we can hope. By the way, there is apparently no truth to the rumors that she left to run off with the oldest Hansen brother.
One of the many lines that Metro plans to put on the shelves in coming months, is the revamped 'Casting Call' series made popular (and infamous) by none other than Max Hardcore. Alex Sanders will be taking over the helm for the first few. I don't know about you, but somehow Alex just doesn't seem to be the guy to fill Max's shoes when it comes to putting new starlets through the paces.
Doesn't anyone remember what happened when Zane handed another Max staple, 'Cherry Poppers' over to Jay Ashley? The horror.
The current state of the business and the increasing risk of contracting HIV has cost porn a number of perfomers of late.
Most recently, Julie Rage has announced that the upcoming Elegant Angel gonzo vid, lensed by her hubby Greg Steel, will be her smut swan song. "Thunder Pussy", Steele's first attempt at gonzo and boasting two AC/DC songs on its soundtrack will be our last chance to see Julie have sex on camera.
With things getting just too risky, Ms Rage will concentrate on her dance career and on working with Steel on his numerous upcoming projects. (Which may include a rather fresh Spice Girls take off penned by some internet review guy.) One can not help but wonder, with Julie not having sex on set any more, how will Greg have time to direct?
As some stars leave, others are back in the business. Fresh on the heels of the Tori Welles and Victoria Paris comebacks, Danielle Rogers and Tina Tyler have re-emerged. When last we saw Danielle, she was a bit lifeless and rather tied to her SO Randy Spears. Based on the pics from her first video back, Gutter Mouths 7, I'd say we are in for a new and much more liberated Danielle this time around. Tina has done a few films, most notably Sizzle 2 and The Box. More videos are in the works for Ms. Tyler and an interview with this charismatic starlet is in the works.
In another case of porn imitating real movies, it seems Sean Michaels and Rob Black have a feud similar to the one Spike Lee and Quinten Tarantino have been engaged in. When Tom Byron left Elegant Angel to form Extreme Associates with Rob Black, Van Damage and Tiffany Mynx, many people speculated that Sean would follow his good friend to the new company.
Instead Sean shocked people by signing with Elegant Angel as their newest star attraction. Word is, Sean did not make the move as a slight to Tom, but because of Extreme bad boy, Black. Apparenlty Sean has a problem with Rob, specifically the way Rob tosses certain words and racial symbolism around. Having seen a lot of Rob's stuff, I can't say that I'm surprised. Although neither party had any comment, those who know Black can probably guess what his rection to this story was.
From the where are they now file, Tiffany Million is apparently making the rounds on radio shows as some sort of a sex therapist. The one time GLOW wrestler turned hose swallower, turned director is offering advice, bashing porn and, get this, hocking some sort of nutrition package. Is that how she keeps that rock hard body in top shape now? What's wrong Tiff, stiff protein shakes weren't enough?
There have been some big changes in the familiar, Tushy Girls line up. Halli Ashton, the gorgeous redhead who was third to join the crew, is the first to leave. No word yet on what prompted the move, or what Halli intends to do now. With her looks, I would not rule out a contract with Metro or perhaps even Vivid. A new Tushy Girl has already been recruited to take her place. More info on her will be coming soon.
I heard from Wendy Knight this week. No, she is not the new Tushy Girl, although I sure think she should be. Wendy is still doing some productions, and says she is thinking, rather seriously, of moving out to SoCal to put her full effort into a career in the jizz biz. Now if I can just get her to sit down long enough to do an interview, we'll all be happy.
Patrick Collins and Elegant Angel have announced that we are rapidly approaching the release of "Down in the Bush." This movie marks the directing debut of 21 year old Zakk Wylde. Young Zakk wrote, directed, shot and edited the piece, due out on June 23rd.
The cast in an impressive mix of established porn sluts like Jessica Darlin and Shay Sweet, but also features new hotties like Timber. Just as most folks his age are finishing up college, Zakk is hitting the big time. Anyone wonder if Matt Zane feels like the old man on the block these days?
