| "The 1999 X-Rated Critics Organization (XRCO) Awards"
CENTURY CITY, CA -- For the fifteenth consecutive year, the XRCO held its annual gathering, honoring the top XXX movies and the performers that appear in them.
In a change of venue from previous years, this years awards show was held at the ritzy Century Club in Century City, California. Previously, the show was held in the ballroom of the Bel Age Hotel in downtown Hollywood.
After making their way up the red carpeted entry, guests mingled in the patio bar before being allowed to enter the main showroom, allowing ample opportunity for interviews and press photo ops.
Hosted by director/historian Jim Holliday and adult film superstar Jenna Jameson, the evening's event was videotaped by Wicked Pictures who acquired the distribution rights from the critic association.
Founded in 1984 by Jim and four other adult film critics, the XRCO has presented its awards show as a counterpart to the higher profile AVN Awards Show, held each January during the Consumer Electronics Show.
Relatively short by award show standards, the ceremony lasted less than two hours and saw awards handed out in 17 categories and 13 people being inducted into the XRCO Hall of Fame.

Unsung Starlet: Katie Gold
Unsung Swordsman: Luciano (Tom Byron accepting on his behalf)
Best Girl/Girl Sex Scene: Chloe and Alisha Klass for "Tampa Tushy Fest #01"
Best Group Scene: Iroc, Tiffany Mynx, Stryc-9, Luciano for "Asswoman in Wonderland"
Best Gonzo Series: "Whack Attack"
Best Actress (single performance): Jeanna Fine for "Cafe Flesh 2" Jeanna, who could not attend because of a dance engagement, had XRCO Chairman Jared Rutter accept on her behalf. Rutter read Jeanna's prepared acceptance speech where Jeanna thanked "three people for helping me be the best I could be: Lee Garland, my make-up man; Stacy Valentine, my co-star; and my director Antonio Passellini."
Best Actor (single performance): James Bonn for "Masseuse 3"
Best Anal of DP Scene: Alisha Klass, Samantha Stylle & Sean Michaels for "Tushy Heaven"
Best Male-Female Sex Scene: Elena and T.T. Boy for "Pink Hotel on Butt Row"
Worst Movie of the Year: "World's Biggest Anal Gang Bang"
Starlet of the Year: Raylene
Director of the Year: John Leslie (not in attendance)
Female Performer of the Year: Stacy Valentine
Male Performer of the Year: Mr. Marcus In his acceptance speech, Marcus thanked Sean Michaels, saying, "He led the way. I'm just following."
Best Video Feature: "Cafe Flesh 2"
Best Film Feature: "Masseuse 3" Accepting his award, director Paul Thomas noted, "You got it right this time" in reference to the fact that Nic Cramer's "Looker", another film in the Best Film Feature category, won top honors for Best Film at the 1999 AVN Awards.
Inducted into the Hall of Fame were: Kelly Nichols, Barbara Dare, Jessie St. James, Julie Anderson, George Payne, Shauna Grant (posthumously), Annie Sprinkle, Jim Malibu, Linda Wong (posthumously), Steve Drake, Roy Karch, Bobby Astor and Ed Powers
